Longford Town have signed midfielder Conor Crowley ahead of the 2024 League of Ireland First Division season.
Crowley joins the Red and Black after a recent stint with Bray Wanderers.
While at the Seagulls under Ian Ryan, the Dubliner made 27 league appearances last season along with four further outings – split between the FAI Cup and Leinster Senior Cup.
The 25-year-old scored twice in all competitions – against Cobh Ramblers and New Oak Boys – and picked up a further three assists.
He has also been on the books of UCD, Cabinteely and Wexford before.
“I’m really happy to join and get the deal over the line,”
he told LTFC.ie.
“I’m really looking forward to the season starting and it is a fresh start for me so I’m looking forward to the first game against Finn Harps now on February 17. I first spoke to Stephen (Henderson) around the middle of December and he was really positive about the season ahead. He said that a large number of players were staying on from last year and was really positive and enthusiastic about the year ahead. That convinced me there and then. It was an easy decision for me. Personally, I want to get back and start enjoying myself again. I want to show what I can do on the pitch and as a team we will give it a good crack.”
