The club is delighted to announce Cian’s Kennels as our official charity partner for the Longford Town Legends v Man United Legends game on 15th June!

Cianโ€™s Kennels is a charity set up in memory of Cian Neary (LTFC academy player), beloved 15-year-old son of Evelyn and Enda and brother to Shane.

When Cian was diagnosed with hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma, his family asked him if there was anything they could get him to make him feel better. It was then that Cooper, a gorgeous golden Labrador puppy, joined their family.

The time Cian spent with Cooper became the basis of lasting, precious memories for the family when Cian sadly lost his battle for life on 23 September, 2019.

Cianโ€™s Kennels was established to bring some of that joy and relief to children who have to endure extended hospital stays.

Cian’s Kennels bring family pets from their home to DSPCA kennels in Dublin and shuttle the pet to their visiting kennels at CHI Crumlin for visits with the sick child and their family. No cost whatsoever arises for the families involved.

The visiting kennels at CHI Crumlin were opened in May 2022 and they are now planning for a unit at the new Childrenโ€™s Hospital which will incorporate the main three childrenโ€™s hospitals in Dublin.

All of this has been made possible by an incredible team of volunteers โ€“ drivers, vets, fundraisers, administrators โ€“ and the generosity of donors and commercial sponsors.

There will be a collection on the day of the Legends game at Bishopsgate! Please give what you can to this worthy cause!
