Longford Town FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Wayne Groves as First-Team Manager.
Wayne has been in charge of first-team affairs on an interim basis but will now take over on a permanent basis going forward.
Wayne is a UEFA-qualified coach and brings a wealth of experience from the LOI and was previously a Head Coach at the Longford Town FC Academy several years ago.
Speaking to LTFC.ie on his appointment, Wayne said;
Iād like to thank Jim Hanley and the rest of the committee for this opportunity to become manager of this great club. In this, our 100th year, we will do our very best to have a team that we can all be proud of.
Wayne has added to his backroom staff already, bringing in UEFA qualified coach Garrett Dodrill. Garrett has managed multiple academy sides across the LOI including UCD, St. Pats and Drogheda and has managed in the LSL also.
