Longford Town FC is delighted to announce that Matthew O’Brien has re-signed for the 2022 SSE Airtricity League First Division.
The young midfielder signs up for his third year in the Red and Black and is looking to kick on from his previous seasons where he established himself as a bright up-and-coming prospect with De Town, earning a call up to Tom Mohan’s home based U19 Ireland squad.
Speaking to LTFC.ie today following his contract agreement being made, Matthew shared his thoughts;
I’m delighted to get the deal done and move onto my third year at Longford. After speaking with Gary, I really feel like we can achieve what we want and be back where we deserve to be in the Premier Division. Come on De Town!
