Callum Warfield signs for 2022!
Longford Town FC is delighted to announce that Callum Warfield has re-signed for the 2022 SSE Airtricity League First Division season.
‘Big Cal’ has become a key figure in the squad the past few seasons, coming through the club’s academy from the U19’s to the first team where he played a big part in De Town’s promotion push in 2020, setting up Dean Byrne for a 94th minute winner v UCD in the playoff final at the UCD Bowl.
Speaking to LTFC.ie today, the 20 year old revealed what his hopes are for 2022;
I’m delighted to re-sign with Longford for a third successive season. It’s been a mixed 2 years with promotion and relegation, but we’re hoping as a group to emulate what we achieved in 2020 and I’m really looking forward to getting going.
