Mick McDonnell signs for 2022!
Longford Town FC is delighted to announce that Mick McDonnell has re-signed for the 2022 SSE Airtricity League First Division.
‘Big Mick’ as the Town supporters call him, has become a mainstay in the heart of the defence since joining in 2018 from Leinster Senior League side Newbridge Town and has gone on to make 94 appearances in all competitions in the red and black.
Speaking to LTFC.ie this evening following his re-signing, the experienced 29 year old expressed his delight in heading in to a fourth year at De Town;
I’m delighted to be back at the club for the upcoming season. It’s a club that means a lot to me and the aim is to get straight back into the Premier Division. From speaking to Gary about what he wants, I truly believe we can have a successful season together.
