Longford Town FC is delighted to announce the signing of Joe Power for the 2022 SSE Airtricity League First Division.
Joe is the younger brother of Norwich City’s Simon Power and progressed through youth football at Cabinteely from the age of 6. He was called up to the Ireland U16 national training squad for the first time in October 2017 and was part of FAI’s emerging talent program and he has since progressed to playing at FAI Schools National Squad and Ireland U18 level.
At club level, the 19 year old midfielder joined Greystones United AFC in 2018. lWith excellent technical ability, a range of passing and a strong work ethic, Joe will certainly add to Gary Cronin’s midfield options.
Speaking to LTFC.ie on the completion of his transfer, Joe revealed his delight in signing for De Town;
I’m delighted to sign for Longford Town. After talking to Gaz, James and Ian, I am excited about the plans for the season ahead. I can’t wait to get started and help the team push for the title this year!
