Wayne Groves has named the LTFC 2024 Player of the Year Dean O’Shea as Captain for the 2025 season.

Speaking to Andrew Dempsey for the LTFC Match Programme ahead of Saturday night’s clash against Bray Wanderers, the 22-year-old revealed his surprise at getting the nod.

โI’m buzzing,โ OโShea added. โIt’s an honour to captain the team. Iโm obviously young but I think there’s a lot that I can pass on to the rest of the lads and I’m still learning.

โI wasn’t really thinking about the captaincy too but it’s obviously a nice one to get. The manager has put that trust in me, so hopefully I can just repay him with my performances on the pitch and help the lads in any way I can.โ
