Longford Town FC is delighted to announce the loan signing of Carl Lennox.
Carl joins on loan from Shamrock Rovers until the end of the season.
Carl played with Shamrock Rovers’ U17s in 2020 and 2021, and with their U19s from 2021 to 2023. In the first half of 2024, he went on loan to Wexford.
Lennox, who is a centre back, is from Naas. He got a taste of European football when he played for Rovers in both legs of a UEFA Youth League competition against Dutch side AZ Alkmaar YL in September 2022.
He made his senior debut for Rovers when being introduced as a substitute in an SSE Airtricity League game against UCD in Tallaght Stadium in October 2022.
He captained their U19 cup and league-winning team of 2023.
The defender is eligible for selection tonight against Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds.
