Unlucky Town go down to Rovers in a rain sodden City Calling Stadium

Conditions were atrocious and didn't add to De Town's luck...an own goal and a slip by the keeper gifted the visitors two goals. It was not a true reflection on a spirited and gallant Town display.

With tonight's game against Shamrock Rovers delicately poised at 0-0, Kaleem Simon was clearly pulled down for what should have been a penalty but the ref waved play on.....we had no luck tonight.

Paul Skinner was yet another victim of the weather, he slipped badly following a clearance and injured himself in the process.

De Town players were clearly gutted as they trooped off the pitch but lady luck militated against them; they played their hearts out.

This is supposed to be summer soccer, instead it was sodden soccer with many puddles and pools of water presenting wintry reflections on a night when the score failed to reflect the reality.
