Conor Davis Signs For 2021!
Longford Town FC is delighted to announce the signing of Conor Davis to the club for the 2021 season.
Having previously been with Reading FC, UCD and Derry City, the 22 year old joins De Town from Cork whom he spent the 2019 season with, although an injury hampered his time down on Leeside.
Manager Daire Doyle was upbeat in signing the promising young forward;
I'm very happy to complete this signing. Conor is another really exciting signing for our club. Conor comes with a great pedigree after spending time at clubs like Reading, UCD, Derry and Cork. He had a disappointing year last season at Cork due to injury but he has recovered well and has looked sharp and strong since coming in with us to train over the last few weeks. He will add an extra dimension to our attacking options and add strong competition for places in the team. We are now delighted to get the deal done and welcome Conor on board.
Speaking to LTFC.ie after his signing, Conor expressed his delight in joining the Red & Black;
Daire invited me up to train a while ago and I was really impressed with the setup and the standard of coaching. I’ve been out injured for the best part of a year but I’m getting stronger and fitter every week and I’m confident that I’ll be able to help the team in a great way. I see lots of quality throughout the team and I’m really excited for the challenge ahead in the Premier Division.
