UEFA U17 European Championships starts on Friday!

The UEFA U17 European Championships comes to Ireland on Friday 3rd May, and we are absolutely honoured to host 4 games at the City Calling Stadium. Here’s the groups….

Group A: 🇮🇪 Republic of Ireland (hosts),  🇧🇪 Belgium, 🇨🇿 Czech Republic, 🇬🇷 Greece

Group B: 🇳🇱 Netherlands (holders), 🇫🇷 France, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 England, 🇸🇪 Sweden

Group C: 🇮🇸 Iceland, 🇵🇹 Portugal, 🇭🇺 Hungary, 🇷🇺 Russia

Group D: 🇪🇸 Spain, 🇮🇹 Italy, 🇩🇪 Germany, 🇦🇹 Austria


Group stage: 3/4, 6/7 & 9/10 May
Quarter-finals: 12/13 May
Semi-finals & FIFA U-17 World Cup play-off: 16 May
Final: 19 May

Knockout system:

Quarter-final 1: Winner Group A v Runner-up Group B
Quarter-final 2: Winner Group B v Runner-up Group A
Quarter-final 3: Winner Group C v Runner-up Group D
Quarter-final 4: Winner Group D v Runner-up Group C

Semi-final 1: Winner quarter-final 1 v Winner quarter-final 3
Semi-final 2: Winner quarter-final 2 v Winner quarter-final 4

FIFA U-17 World Cup play-off: The two losing quarter-finalists with the best records will take part in this game. The criteria are a) group position, b) group points, c) group goal difference, d) group goals scored, e) quarter-final result, f) overall disciplinary ranking, g) coefficient (as per qualifying round draw), h) drawing of losts

UEFA Under 17 Championship | See Tomorrow’s Stars Today!

The Republic of Ireland will host the UEFA Under-17 Championship Final from May 3th-19th across seven different stadiums in Dublin, Longford, Waterford and Wicklow.

This Tournament provides a unique opportunity for your school to get involved and see tomorrow’s stars today!

We are delighted to announce a range of different opportunities for your school to avail of…

Early kick off times and tickets

The City Calling Stadium will host 4 group games.

At least one match in each stadium will be an early kick-off at 2.00pm to encourage local schools to attend. And to make it even easier for your school to get involved we are offering your teachers tickets for just €2 and pupils tickets on a complimentary basis.

Free coach transfers and competitions

Submit your school orders by Friday, March 29th and be in with the chance to avail of a €500 voucher towards your coach transfers on match day.

(*Limited number of vouchers available – requests will be treated on a first come, first served basis).

Adopt a Nation

Once we know which nations will face each other after the draw takes place on Tuesday April 4th, we will assign a team to each school so that you can get behind them when playing at your closest stadium. Pupils will be encouraged to embrace their new nation by designing flags and banners to represent their country on match day.

Mascot and Trophy Tour

Opportunity for the Tournament Mascot and Trophy to visit your School.
