Longford Town FC are delighted to announce the signing of left back Eric Abulu from Shamrock Rovers. The 19 year old put pen to paper today & is pictured alongside his mother Joan, his father Lucky, Manager Daire Doyle & Assistant Manager John Martin.

Longford Town FC are delighted to announce the signing of Conor Kenna to the first team.

The highly experienced defender joins Neale Fenn’s squad after impressing during pre season games.

Conor has spent time with Drogheda, St. Patrick’s Athletic (who he won the league with), Shamrock Rovers and most recently at Bray Wanderers where he was captain.

Longford Town FC Pre-Season Friendlies 2019

Longford Town FC will play at least 4 pre-season friendlies before the upcoming 2019 SSE Airtricity League First Division season begins.

The first three announced are against Shamrock Rovers, Bohemians and Double Champions; Dundalk FC.

Neale Fenn’s men will take on Shamrock Rovers at Roadstone on Saturday, 26th January 2019 with a kick off time of 11.30am.

Three days later on Tuesday, 29th January, they will take on the Red and Black of Bohemians at the AUL with that game kicking off at 7.30pm.

The Pride of the Midlands will then take on the mighty Dundalk at Oriel Park on Tuesday, 5th February at 7.45pm.

Three competitive fixtures for De Town with more to be announced over the coming weeks!

Town through to the Quarter Finals of the EA SPORTS Cup

Longford Town defeated Shamrock Rovers last night 1-0, and went through to the last eight of the EA SPORTS Cup through a Daniel O’Reilly winner in the 89th minute.

Longford Town: Jack Brady; Karl Chambers, Mick McDonnell, Daniel O’Reilly ©, Tristan Noack-Hofmann; Sam Verdon (Dean Zambra 90+3), Aodh Dervin; Darren Meenan, Jamie Hollywood (Evan Galvin 78), Dylan McGlade; Dean Byrne (Chris Mulhall 78).

Subs not used: Michael Kelly, Jackson Ryan, Daniel Ridge.

Booked: Chris Mulhall (90+4).
