Longford Town FC are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of one of it's most loyal supporters, Tom Rocke.
Tom has been following the Town long before the club joined the League of Ireland in 1984. Tom travelled all over Ireland following his beloved 'Red & Black' and was a long-time season ticket holder who supported the club through the good times and the bad.
Tom was the epitome of what the ultimate club football fan should be, and he always had a brilliant enthusiasm and an uplifting attitude to life that brought a smile to everyone who knew him.
Tom had an infectious sense of humour that was hard to match and an endearing smile that will always be fondly remembered.
Everyone connected with Longford Town FC would like to extend it's deepest sympathies to Tom's wife Angela, his children Aishling, Gary, and Noelle, his brothers Noel and Michael, his sister Angela and to his extended family and friends.
Tom's funeral mass takes place tomorrow (Wednesday) at noon in Saint Mary's Church in Newtownforbes. May he rest in peace.
