De Town brought a real buzz to the town of Longford last night when like years of old, Blazers rocked until the wee small hours. A huge and happy crowd gathered in the revamped Longford Arms to celebrate Longford Town's FC superb season......90 years of age and First Division champions....it doesn't get much better than that.
De Town legends Barry Ferguson, Alan Kirby and Sean Prunty were the very popular special guests.
Also in attendance were special guests, Keith Gillespie and Phil Munnelly who gave a rousing and spirited speech. Jim Hanley (Chairman) and Tony Cousins (manager) were also excellent behind the mic.
It was great to see so many players and their stunning WAGS having a ball and enjoying the craic.
Tony Ghee did a super MC job, aided by Michael Connellan.
It was obvious that a lot of planning had gone into making the Red and Black Gala Ball a huge success and full credit to all those who worked like Trojans behind the scenes..... Everything......the food, music, special booklet, large crowd and slick interviews and presentations all combined to make the night truly memorable.
Big thank you to all who made it happen.
