Goalkeepers Lee Steacy and Luke Dennison have re-signed for the club ahead of the 2021 season.
Lee Steacy signs back after helping De Town secure promotion, keeping a clean sheet against Shelbourne in the playoff final. Lee won LTFC Player of the Year in 2019 after a standout year for the club and followed that up with another good season in 2020, captaining the side on a number of occasions.
Luke Dennison re-signs for the club for his second season in Red and Black. The American will be looking to compete with Steacy for the number 1 spot in the Premier Division. He impressed with his performance against Cork City in the FAI Cup game in Turners Cross, pulling off a number of vital saves.
Speaking to LTFC.ie, Manager Daire Doyle shared his thoughts on the two goalkeepers re-signing:
It's great to get the two lads back. Lee is a great keeper and did well for us last year, as did Luke when he was called upon in the cup. They're good lads and are eager to get going for the new season.
Lee Steacy also expressed his delight on committing to another year in Red and Black;
I can’t wait to play premier football and have the chance to mix it with the best while playing for the Town. Hopefully we'll get to have big crowds at Bishopsgate next season also!
