Longford Town FC is delighted to announce that Joe Gorman has re-signed for the 2021 season.
The former Cliftonville player had a brilliant first season in the Red and Black, helping De Town secure promotion with some man of the match displays towards the end of the season and in the playoffs.
Joe kick-started the comeback against UCD scoring two goals, one late in the game and another in extra time before De Town went on to win the game. He also could have had a goal in our playoff final win against Shelbourne but his shot from close range had been ruled offside.
Speaking to LTFC.ie on Joe's re-signing, manager Daire Doyle had this to say;
Joe is a great player to get back in for us. He really performed towards the end of the season for us and was outstanding. He contributed two goals in the playoffs and for a centre back, that's fantastic. He's great to have around the team and he has a big year ahead of him now in the Premier Division.
