Paul was part of the underage structure at Bohemians in 2009. He moved on to St Patrick’s Athletic in 2010 and joined Longford Town for the 2011 season. He made his first appearance for Longford in the second round of the EA Sports Cup against UCD on 28th March 2011, coming on as a substitute for Alvin Rouse. A few days later he made his first start in the league game against Athlone Town at Flancare Park.

Craig joined Bray Wanderers in the summer of 2006 and played for the clubs U21 side in 2007 and 2008.
Craig played for Crumlin United in 2009, taking part in their FAI Cup campaign when the LSL side beat Shelbourne in the third round only to lose out to Waterford United after a replay in the fourth. He went on to play for Newbridge Town in the 2010/11 Leinster Senior League and in the summer of 2011 he signed for Shamrock Rovers.
In January 2012 Craig signed for Tony Cousins at Longford Town.
