A massive crowd turned out on a very wet night at Andy Byrne's pub in Ballymahon Street for the drawing of tickets in the Christmas hamper draw. There was a fantastic festive atmosphere with the young, the old, the brave and the very bold supporting De Town. There was total agreement among all gathered at the unfairness of the league draw which sees us travelling again to Cork on a Monday night. But with a few sparkling waters, fresh sandwiches all was put aside until after Christmas.
The draw was a fabulous success thanks to the efforts of a great many sellers and was extremely well supported all over the county and beyond.
A huge thank you also to the volunteers who looked after the pop-up shop which also recorded a terrific response.
We may be 6th in the league but we've the best supporters in the land....Happy Christmas to all our supporters.
