DERVIN RE-SIGNS FOR DE TOWN!

Longford Town FC is delighted to announce that Aodh Dervin has signed a new contract at the club for 2021.

Dervin agreed to terms a few weeks ago and confirmed to LTFC.ie that it was a no brainer to re-sign for his home town club after helping Longford gain promotion to the Premier Division;

Playing premier football with your boyhood club is hard to turn down and after talking to Daire and John and hearing their plans it made me want to be apart of what they’re building at Longford.

Looking back on 2020 and Longford's playoff win, Aodh couldn't contain his delight;

It was an unbelievable feeling. I've been dreaming about this since I was a kid. And knowing that everybody at the club and the town and the county recognize what we've accomplished makes it even more special.

When asked on what he hopes to achieve with De Town for next season, Dervin set the bar high;

Europe. That's it. We want to challenge for a spot for Europe. It's that simple.

When asked if he had anything to say to the Town supporters who were anxiously waiting on confirmation that he'd be returning to the red and black he apologized for the long wait;

Sorry for taking so long but I hope it was worth it! I can't wait to hopefully see you all out at Bishopsgate next season!
