De Winter Supporters’ Club Notes

ONGOING WORK

The players may be on holidays and the games a distant memory, but behind the scenes the work continues non stop. Out at the City Calling Stadium various projects are in hand to keep the facilities up to date for next season. Meanwhile Tony Cousins is working flat out to strengthen the squad for 2016 and already has made quite a few significant signings. Even though there have been no Supporters' Club notes for a few weeks, we too haven't been idle. Our wandering Supporters' Club chairman has managed to fit in trips to Bosnia and the Aviva on international duty and we look forward to his match reports in next season's match programme. Meanwhile we have some other activities and updates to report.

RED AND BLACK GALA NIGHT

One of the most industrious workers for the club must be Andy Dardis. He's the man behind the Red and Black night on Saturday December 5th in the Longford Arms when the annual awards will be presented. For tickets, give Andy a shout on 087 672 7859 . Proceedings kick off at 8pm and will last into the small hours of Sunday. To vote for the goal of the season, check out the video footage on the club website or Facebook page. Remember, you must include your full name to make your vote valid. Time is fast running out, so click and vote today.

POP UP CLUB SHOP

As if he's not busy enough, Andy has secured a shop unit in Ballymahon St., which will be opening its doors in about two weeks. You can get all your festive gear there and more besides. The Christmas hamper raffle tickets are now available and the hampers will also be on display. We have only one week left in the Shopping Centre for the Lotto sales but they too will be available in the Pop Up Club Shop. And talking of availability, are you available to help out in the shop? Many are called and many will be chosen if you volunteer. We always need more available and reliable hands to help out.

CONDOLENCES

The Supporters' Club would like to offer our sincere condolences to Mary Canning on the recent sad death of her sister Theresa Fitzgerald. We would also like to extend our condolences to Donald Keogh on the passing of his mother in law, Lily O'Connell. May they rest in peace.
