A decent following is hoped to descend on the capital for Friday nights Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup Second Round clash between Longford Town and Bangor Celtic at the Iveagh Grounds.
Longford Town come into this crucial cup clash on the back of two fantastic victories in the previous two games which included a cup win over Premier Division Sligo Rovers and a 7-0 hammering of midlands rivals Athlone Town.
You can see match highlights from the Sligo game on the LTFC You Tube channel here. As for Bangor Celtic, they are a Leinster Senior League outfit who are plying their trade in Junior football. Having disposed of fellow non-league side Everton from the Munster Senior League 3-2 after going 2-0 down during the game they will certainly relish a challenge from such a well known and respected LOI club given our history in the competition.
Neale Fenn will be looking to build on the fantastic cup win over Sligo Rovers at the City Calling Stadium and hopefully guide De Town into the Quarter- Finals of the FAI Cup for the first time since the cup run of 2014 which saw “The Red and Black” reach the semis. Tickets are available at the gate of the Iveagh Grounds if you are planning on heading to the game.
Admission is €10 while kids can go to the game for free. Kick-off is at 7.45pm.
